  1. Thank you so much for all the info, handouts, etc. I’ve been wanting to learn netting for a long time, ever since I discovered it while researching antique crochet patterns- I’m so excited!

  2. My mother had a netted doily made by my grandmother. for years
I kept the pieces of it to someday surprise her with. My little brother had taken a pair of scissors to it. I haven’t been able to find anyone who even knows how to do netting until now. It is becoming a lost art. Thank you for the information. It really is much appreciated.

    • Robin,
I remember the same thing happening to one of my grandmother’s doilies before I learned to net. Grandmother did a wonderful repair job. Repair work is often more difficult than making a fresh piece of netting. Enjoy learning this lost art.

  3. Thanks for handout. I once had a string bag I loved and alsways used. Often I’d desire to learn to make one and I bought a book and shuttles and then I never did anything with them. Maybe now I’ll get to learn so I can make them. Wouldn’t that be great?
