Square-Mesh Netting – Class Projects

There are patterns for four different types of projects in this class: headbands, belts, bags and trellises.

Headbands

The square-mesh headband patterns come in several sizes: wide and narrow, adult and children, and big squares and little squares.

The headbands are fastened through loops on the short side of the netting with a piece of cord elastic. These patterns all include increases and decreases using diamond mesh netting. They can be finished quickly.

Belt

The Square-Mesh Net Belt is 5 squares wide. It can be worn as a belt or a decorative scarf.

Rectangular Bags

The patterns for this style of bag include three sizes: Small, Medium, and Large.

There are three different styles of handles. One is the regular diamond mesh handle (brought over from the Diamond-Mesh Rectangular Net Bags). The other two handles are created using double wrapped loops.

Trellises

Net trellises can be made into either a rectangular or a square shape. Either way, they can be made into any size using the Generic Square-Mesh instructions.

Patterns will also include a 5′ by 5′ trellis with a 3″ mesh, a 4 foot by 5 foot trellis with a 3″ mesh, and a 4′ by 6′ trellis with a 6″ mesh.
